The Pleasures will bring a swag of new material and a bagful of sass to the stage this October and are truly a must see!
Fronted by renowned singer-songwriter Catherine Britt and modern-day troubadour Lachlan Bryan. They have quickly become one of the most talked-about new Americana acts in the country, and expectations are high for album number two! Together they produce a sound that is gritty, blues-inspired, interrupted by delicate moments of sublime country folk, with enthralling and often poignant lyrics.
Their subject matter leaps from bold and bawdy to heartfelt and insightful.
In two short years, this ‘side-project’ has seen the band take to festival main stages and tours across three continents. They have garnered excellent reviews for their killer live shows and have been lauded as a songwriting force.
Their debut album scored plenty of accolades including High Rotation across ABC Country, CMT in Australian and the US, Double J, and ABC local, and Featured Album at ABC Country and Community Stations. They made their debut on the ARIA Album Chart at # 2. They spent over three months on the Americana Album Charts in the Top 40 and performed official showcases at Folk Alliance International and AMERICANAFEST in the USA. They have already been nominated for 3 Golden Guitar Awards.
The Pleasures New Album will drop in August 2025.
,
They burned their stage down with country rock that sounds like they should own Nashville, Austin and Memphis while only going back Down Under for occasional visits. The Pleasures’ new album “The Beginning of the End” rivals their live performance for exciting sound and fury. Easily a personal choice for best of 2024 Folk Alliance International.” - Doug Hill - The Norman Transcript
